We walk from the Knutsford entrance through an
avenue of Beech Trees that stretch towards the Mansion. The Mansion itself
is closed until the end of March but you can visit the gardens at this
National Trust Property, financed and administered by Cheshire County
Council. Centre photo above shows Melchett Mere. |

We walk back from the Mansion along the road
back towards the Knutsford entrance of the park. The walk is a very
approximate 4miles in length. Our route towards the Mansion was along muddy
paths, through the Beech Trees, but the walk back along the concrete road
was easy going and flat. |
