Winter scenes taken in the last few
weeks across the Peak District and surrounding areas.
Most of the recent snow had disappeared from
the moors above Hathersage by Saturday 27th Jan but an icy cold wind and
dark clouds threatened more snow on the way. The photo on the left is a view
from near Stanage Edge with Overstones Farm featured in the foreground
whilst the centre photo reveals a view through the trees to Hathersage
Village located in Derbyshire.
St Mary's Church dating back to Norman times
can be found in the beautiful estate village of Tissington near Ashbourne.
The other two photos above show Trentabank Reservoir in Macclesfield Forest
and Ilam Hall, now a Youth Hostel.
Hazy and foggy views around Lamaload Reservoir
and on the route to the Goyt Valley were among the last photos to be taken
in 2006.
