Macclesfield Forest looks at its
best in the Autumn season, with an explosion of colour as the trees prepare to
drop their leaves for Winter.
You don't have to go far from the main road
that travels through the forest to see some spectacular colours in the trees
in the forest. The different variety of trees provides a kaleidoscope of
colour in every direction you look.
The photo above left is a very rare sight, I
have only seen them once although I have heard from many sources that there
were deer living in the forest. The deer enjoy the evening sunshine on the
banks of Trentabank Reservoir, close to the visitor centre in the forest.
The other two photos above show the Autumn colours reflected in Bottoms
Reservoir.
Reflections in Ridgegate Reservoir as the sun
sets. If there is ever a prospect of a beautiful sunset in the area then
Ridgegate Reservoir is normally one of the best places to watch.
