LOUGHRIGG & LANGDALE - 13/09/11

A somewhat lazy page of photographs taken in the Lake District, lazy because despite the variation they were all taken from the same place, although not at the same time. The photographs feature views across Loughrigg Tarn and the Langdale Valley.

Millers Dale Station Monsal Trail Monsal Trail
This area of the Lake District is one of the most popular with walkers, offering the challenging ascents of the Mountains with spectacular views and waterfalls, as well as low level walks along the valley such as Elterwater. Shown in the photo on the right above, the walk from Elterwater to Skelwith Force waterfall at Skelwith Bridge is an easy and short walking route through waterside meadows, a return trip is around 4km long with a stop at Chesters Cafe at Skelwith Bridge for cake recommended!
